RECRUITING – CHARTERED TOWN PLANNER/CHARTERED SURVEYOR – PART TIME

We are a small, but forward thinking, consultancy working from bases in both North Worcestershire and South Staffordshire.  We are an award-winning consultancy, having won awards from both the RICS and the RTPI (Small Planning Consultancy of the Year – West Midlands in the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2022) and we have ambitious plans to grow from here.  In 2023 we have both opened a base in South Staffordshire as well as having launched The Equestrian Planning Consultancy.

Due to an increasing workload, we are looking to recruit a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI) or Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) (who has qualified through the planning and development route).  The role involves being able to work independently across a wide and varied range of planning work, from pre-applications to full applications, prior approval to condition discharges, development appraisals and appeals

We currently have qualifications with both the RICS and RTPI as well as being Registered Valuers and Agricultural Valuers with full time administration and marketing support.  We deal with a wide range and scale of urban and rural planning and development work, providing the very best service to our clients.  We work across a wide area of the country and have worked in areas from the Southeast to Salcombe, all across the Midlands, and up into Cheshire, Manchester and Yorkshire on a variety of projects.  Our current projects include anything from householder applications and barn conversions to residential development and major renewable development.

We are flexible about the role and terms for this post for the right person, but it is envisaged that the role will be mainly home based (some office days) and will be part time only.  The ideal candidate must be a team player able to work well alongside the existing Eldnar team but also capable of managing their own workload.

Initial salary is likely to be in the region of £30 – £35k (pro rata) but this is depending on experience, qualifications and meeting fee earning targets (we don’t keep timesheets!).  A performance-based bonus scheme is available once probation periods have been passed.  In return you will work with a forward thinking, young firm who will support you in every aspect of your career and professional development.

If you think you may have the right skills and experience, please contact Eleni Randle for an informal and confidential discussion about the role in more detail to see whether this could be the right role for you.
